Paradox

Paradox is an F1 (1st Generation) hybrid of the Northern California black walnut, or Juglans hindsii, crossed with Juglans regia. Much more vigrous than either of its parents, growing much larger and faster, it does not however produce fruit, and therefore has no significant amounts of pollen. Suited to heavy, wet and poor soils but very susceptible to frost damage and not often available.
