Varieties
There are hundreds of varieties of English Walnuts and many closely related species. Based on knowledge from many years of growing we have selected a range suitable for the climate throughout the UK.
The main related species of interest are from North America and the Far East. Most of the J nigra varieties from America are big trees with valuable timber, though most will give nuts too.
